At present, there are still some shortcomings in the current VOCs waste gas treatment in China. Therefore, continuous development and progress and more advanced and scientific treatment methods are required for the purpose of more effective VOCs waste gas treatment.

 

(1) Cooling and solidification treatment technology for waste recycling under bio-molecule conversion method

The bio-molecule conversion method can be used to eliminate VOCs waste gas so as to directly convert harmful substances in waste gas into bio-molecular materials, change waste material into things of value, and become the usable harmless substances. This not only features low cost, quick start and simple operation, but also boasts a wide range of applications and broad areas. This technology should be supported and promoted in the future.

 

(2) Harmful substance extraction and treatment with isolation method

Such treatment aims to extract and isolate the harmful substances in waste gas of VOCs, and recycle other organic substances in the remaining gas. This not only achieves the recycling and reuse of waste gas, but also alleviates the environmental pollution and heavy damage after the waste gas enters the air layer. Due to the high investment cost, it is generally suitable for large-scale industrial sectors. VOCs, emitted in these industries, show high waste gas content and have great significance for extraction and utilization.

 

(3) Treatment with catalytic decomposition under the action of light

This is a relatively advanced treatment technology that utilizes catalyst to decompose waste gas under the action of light. Semiconductor material with strong catalytic effect and no pollution is the most widely-used catalyst. Such catalyst is cheap and safe so that it enjoys broader application prospects compared with any other material.
