This year two associations announced “We will focus on the protection and restoration of ecosystems, and reinforce the national park system reform.” “National parks” refer to “natural areas that require special protection, management and utilization by the state in order to protect the integrity of one or more typical ecosystems and provide sites for ecotourism, scientific research and environmental education.”
National park system reform is at the core of this mission, and it includes promotion and development of ecological services, as well as establishing the requirements for technology and industry development.
From a technical point of view, the sewage treatment plant requires a stable operation. The communities need to change their mindset towards nature and support the development of environmental technologies. Mountains, rivers, lakes and grass belong to communities, and in this new era we should embrace more comprehensive approach to ecosystem protection and conservation.
From an industrial point of view, the policy is a “driving force” of environmental industry development, but the high-quality development also requires substantial investments in the industry, which means that the local governments will need to restructure the budget in order to meet the reform targets.
Many researchers believe that the focus on the protection and restoration of ecosystems, along with the reinforcement of the national park system reform, will promote the development of China’s environmental protection industry.
With many environmental and sustainable development high-tech organizations and associations participating at WieTec 2019, we are looking forward to learning more about this and similar topics.
